Foodstuffs North Island 100 Years Case Study

Foodstuffs North Island commemorated the 100th anniversary celebration with their creative agency Spur, who engaged with Brandstand to deliver the physical installation in collaboration with the agency

Brandstand were thrilled to be part of the process in delivering the display material used throughout the event.

The Background

To celebrate 100 years of local operation, Foodstuffs North Island engaged Spur to conceive and lead the creative vision for a landmark brand experience.

The Brief

Spur, the lead agency & creative concept, engaged with Brandstand NZ to deliver the physical installation in collaboration with the agency.

The Solution

The result was a walk-through, immersive exhibition located at the base of Foodstuffs' new head office, forming the centre-piece of the centenary celebrations.

Visitors were taken on a decade-by-decade journey, exploring how food, media, and everyday Kiwi life evolved over 100 years. Era specific living rooms and kitchens were brought to life through detailed physical environments, supported by interactive and experiential touchpoints.

Historic video content, featuring past team members, shared stories and memories that highlighted Foodstuffs' enduring role in New Zealand communities.

The open-plan exhibition also showcased key innovations, from the evolution of Pams and Checker of they Year winners to global examples pointing to the future of grocery retail.
